Since inception of SYHA in 2018, we’ve raised over $55,000 to provide assistance to deserving players so they can begin or continue to play hockey.
Our inaugural event in 2016 saw 46 golfers and 16 sponsors come together to raise funds for a special cause…to help a former Totem family who had 3 month premature twin boys, Hunter and Brody Thompson. The boys are growing and developing but Brody still required a trachea and feeding tube for a number of years; however you wouldn’t know it by the most joyful nonstop smile you’ll ever see on a baby’s face.
2017 almost doubled our attendance with 84 participants, and we increased our sponsors to 20. We also more than doubled what we raised from 2016, tallying just over $11,000, to help support Youth and Junior hockey scholarships for players and families in need of financial assistance.
With new sponsors and participants in 2018, which was also the inaugural year for Seattle Youth Hockey Assist as an official nonprofit organization, we had an attendance of over 90 participants and over 25 corporate and individual sponsors and donors (auction items). The 2018 event raised almost $13,000 to provide Youth and Junior Hockey scholarships to players and families in need of financial assistance.
We can’t do this without all of you!
Proceeds help Seattle Youth Hockey Assist provide financial support
to Youth and Junior hockey players to continue playing the game we all love.
